Los Portales Mexican Grill in Montclair

We called in an order for lunch pick up in an office so someone called in the order and another co worker picked it up and when I went to pick up they said everything is there. Mind you I didn’t call in the order my coworker did. they forgot a drink they forgot tortillas they added a side of sour cream THAT NO ONE ASKED FOR. No one in the office likes sour cream and someone ordered cheese inside their burrito and they just gave us a side of cheese and it wasn’t inside the burrito. When we called to request the money back for the extra charges and the items missing the manager said next time we need to order correctly and I responded next time pack and make the order correct very rude

The food SUCKED! Big time...

I have been coming to eat at their restaurants or take out when not feeling like cooking. Los Portales a family owned and great atmosphere. Delicious food all of their menu. Now rising to the occasion providing take out and in a safe delivery packaging. Thank you.

I only eat cheese enchiladas but they were good! Take out order! And YES... got a Cadillac margarita to go also!! Seemed like supersized!!! Which was great even after travelling back home!!!

The food was good. What made the experience bad is that when my wife and daughter went to the restroom. There was a few female Co-workers fighting that were dressed in pink . Saying bad words, and having my daughter hear that? Not cool at all.

Food was delicious..and service was great ..waitresses were very polite and always checking on customers making sure they have everything they asked for..

Nice atmosphere and great taste and selection. Although uncomfortable seatings in booths.

Real good food here.....it's better than what i expected....

The food was good for the most part, but the carne lacked flavor. The homemade tortillas are awesome.

They should have lunch menus on weekends. Also would expect better guacamole but maybe that's just me. Almost $50 for 2 with one beer. Expected more.

The hospitality at Los Portales is always great, from the moment we enter until the moment we leave. The lunch menu is the best and it includes the drink. My favorite is the grilled chicken and veggie burrito smothered in green sauce.

Outdoor eating. Pretty good. Margarita was okay. Chicken mole with rice & beans was good. Service was excellent!

My family and I have been going to los Portales over the years for Mexican food using the coupon On the weekdays which is great and then on the weekend today were ordering Our favorite combos.and also for family gatherings. We love the food the food is great anytime you come in the staff is really great also. No place is perfect but they come pretty close.

The bar n the music the food is always delicious and the owners are like family to my family n myself❤💞

Driving by, seen the banner hanging for Tamales, pull in and got a 1/2 dz. They only had Pork, I’m a bigger fan of the Chicken but these Pork ones where good saved some my lunch tomorrow and a slice of Carrot Cake for dessert.

The for is good. Today we only went for drinks. Our favorite bar tender was there, Natalia! She never dissappoints us! Great drinks! Thank you Natalia!

It was room temperature food, took my eldest parents....were disappointed. 1st ones there, served last until we complained. Weren't even comped., for 1 plate out of 4, service was decent. Not looking forward to visiting anytime soon. P.S. margarita was great....only thing. Maybe in 2021, service will improve if still there.

I had not visited this restaurant in over 8 years and wanted to take a friend today. First time visit for her. We had different lunch specials which were wonderful! All employees were great! We will return.

Food was alright, not as tasty. Servers were nice and helpful. Did not practice distancing but I would go again if I didnt know what to eat.

2 THINGS TO REMEMBER,, 1ST,, NEVER ORDER THE CHILLY COLORADO,, LOOKS LIKE PUKE THERE ARE NO CHUNKS OF MEAT IN IT LIKE THERE SHOULD BE,, 2ND,, THE H2O TASTES LIKE MILDEW SO THEY PUT A PIECE OF LEMON SO MAYBE YOU CAN'T TELL,, BUT YOU CAN,, YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD INVEST IN A CHEAP $45.00 DOLLAR WATER FILTER SINCE MY BILL FOR 5PPL WAS OVER $110.00 BUCKS & THERE WERE 5 OTHER TABLES WITH THE SAME AMOUNT YOU DO THE MATH,,

Excellent and yummy food, I liked the vibes this place has, and the employees were kind. I will definitely come back in the future.

Came for breakfast while i was waiting to get my car fixed. Good food with good prices. I got the huevos a la mexicana plate which came with rice, beans and tortillas for under $8. Fresh tortillas hand made. Pretty good deal.

Food was Fresh, Hot, and Delicious. The "ENTIRE" Staff was beyond friendly. First time here. Definatly not my last! I drove 18 Miles it was worth the Trip. Price and Food well worth it.

This Mexican restaurant is personally one of the best in the I.E. My husband and I ate here every weekend. Strawberry Margaritas are also great here.

Very cute girl took my order I think it was the owners daughter she's so hot. The food is bomb and so is the service. Next to go ask for the torta de milenesa and una de carnitas.
